In JetPages, translation prompts apply to everything that gets translated. Sometimes one page needs more: its own context, its own tone, or a different audience. That is what the page prompt is for — instructions that apply to one page only.
Where to find it
Open the page in the source language and click Translate at the top of the editor. The translate dialog shows the page’s settings at the bottom — click Edit Page Prompt to change them:
Target Customer
Pick the audience that matches the page — depending on the project, for example B2B (business readers) or B2C (consumers). The translation then uses the matching audience block from translation prompts, which means a different tone and a different form of address.
Important: a page that has never had prompt settings saved is translated as B2B. If a consumer page sounds too businesslike, set its Target Customer to B2C and translate it again.
Prompt
Free-text instructions for translating this one page — for example what the page is about (“This page addresses banks”) or how it should sound. They are the most specific instructions there are: where they disagree, they win over the language, audience, and General instructions. They can only change wording, terminology, and tone — not the structure of the page and not the format of a translation. Leave the field empty if the page needs nothing special.
Saving
Save stores the page prompt. It stays with the page and is used every time the page is translated from then on. Texts translated earlier do not change retroactively — they stay as they are until you translate the page again.
Important: as with all translation instructions, review the translated languages after changing the prompt.
