Something looks wrong? This page collects the most common situations and how to get out of them — each one links to the page that explains the details.
My change is not on the website
Go through this list from top to bottom:
- Did you save? Changes only leave the editor when you click Save.
- Is the page published? Unpublished pages are never on the website — see Status & publishing.
- Did you edit a draft copy? A draft does not touch the live page until you click Apply Draft — see Draft workflow.
- Reload the page in your browser. Your browser may still show an older version it kept from your last visit. Still old after reloading? Open the page in another browser or on your phone — every device keeps its own copy. If the change shows up there, it is live, and only your device was showing an old copy.
- Did saving show an error? Then the website was not updated — save or publish again. More background: How the website is served.
The change is only in one language
That is how saving works: Save writes only the language you are editing. Switch to the other languages and make the change there too — or use Edit Section (all languages) to do it in one place.
I cannot publish a page
A page can only be published when it exists in every language. An orange Lang badge in the pages overview means languages are missing — translate the page first, see Automatic translation.
I cannot edit a section
On a published page, section content is locked in the page editor. Open the section’s menu and use Edit Section (all languages) — or work on a draft copy for bigger changes.
A translation overwrote my manual fix
Translating a page replaces the content of the target languages, including fixes you made by hand — see Automatic translation. Redo the fix. If you keep making the same correction, add it as a translation prompt — then every future translation gets it right by itself.
Translation failed for some languages
The error message lists the languages that failed. Nothing is broken — simply run the translation again for those languages.
I made a mistake and want to go back
Every save is kept in the page history. Open View History, find the version you want, and copy its sections back.
